Faculty Responsibilities

Making Overall Exam Changes

If you need to make changes to the information you provided through course verification regarding the details of your exams, such as open/close dates for all enrolled students, and materials that may be used during the exam, send your requested changes to gcps@wsu.edu.

Incident Reports

If you receive an incident report from ProctorU, it is up to you to review the incident and determine what, if any, action needs to be taken.

If you need assistance reporting an Academic Integrity violation, you can contact the Office of Student Conduct at 509-335-4532 or conduct@wsu.edu. Please visit the Center for Community Standards website if you have any other questions.

Extended Time Accommodations

Many accommodations involve extra time (e.g., double time) to take online exams. Instructors are responsible for setting up those extended time accommodations.

To learn how to set up the extended time accommodations or if want to learn more about testing accommodations, visit Disability Accommodations for more information.

Exam Availability Date Exceptions

Virtual Proctoring

When granting an exception for a student, it is the instructor’s responsibility to:

  • Notify GCPS of exceptions
  • Add the exam exceptions in the course space

On-Site Proctoring

When granting an exception for a student, it is the instructor’s responsibility to:

  • Notify GCPS of exceptions
  • Add the exam exceptions in the course space if the exam is online
  • Notify GCPS of any on-site exceptions if the course only allows WSU’s third party virtual proctoring service.

Virtual Proctoring Service

Zoom may not be used as a proctoring solution in Global Campus courses because Zoom may not provide the necessary security for proctored exams.

Global Campus strongly encourages faculty to utilize ProctorU, WSU’s trusted virtual proctoring service. ProctorU has been vetted for security, and is designed to uphold academic integrity and ensure a consistent testing experience for all students.
