If you are a student on the Everett, Pullman, Tri-Cities, Spokane, or Vancouver campus, follow the instructions on your campus website for completing the Writing Placement Assessment and University Writing Portfolio, available at Writing Assessment Contacts.

University Writing Portfolio Timed Write

The WSU Writing Program is in the process of updating the University Writing Portfolio graduation requirement to an online submission in myWSU. The Writing Program has eliminated the Timed Write component of the University Writing Portfolio (UWP). Beginning in fall of 2020, students will submit three documents as the entirety of the UWP. Writing Placement Assessment

All WSU students needing to take a first-year writing course must complete the Writing Placement Assessment for appropriate assignment to English 100, 101, 104, or 105. For details on how to take the assessment, visit Placement Exams on the Global Campus Current Student website.
